challenge — How can we motivate young people (past university age) to exercise?
solution — I worked with my colleagues (Keya Vadgama and Amir Chabok) to design a complete android app utilizing gamification to encourage healthy competition among users around fitness and health. Daily challenges focus on health and diet goals best suited to the user, based on the in-depth fitness profile filled out initially.
concept — We realized that a primary motivator behind many activities of younger people is social accountability. By creating a space for friends to share and compete towards fitness and diet goals, users will be more motivated to stay on track and push themselves towards a healthier lifestyle. The app is also structured around simple daily challenges instead of heavily planned workouts, to make it easy and fun for users to keep on track.
